Papilio phorcas (brooch)
Test model. I think it turned out fine and soon I'll make more of these. I decided not to add legs, because they are the most laborious part and they would be hidden under the wings anyway.
Materials used: foam, polymer clay, brooch pin, feather barbs, epoxy glue, powdered silk, acrylic paint, metallic lacquer, transparent lacquer.

Loki (request)
Lately I find it really hard to draw anything on my own initiative due to complete lack of motivation, so I thought I'd work on some requests that I got form people long, long time ago.
This one is for carayenne, she once asked me to draw Tom Hiddleston. When I googled his name and realised who he actually is, I instantly knew I'll draw him as Loki, though I don't even know anything about this character. I just think his hair looks cool.
This was heavily referenced off a movie screencap.

Goliath beetle sculpture
I finally made a Goliath beetle sculpture! They’re one of my favourite beetle species.
It’s made from scratch using polymer clay, brass wire, epoxy glue, acrylic paint and transparent lacquer. Painting the pattern on the beetle’s wings was definitely the most fun part, but I enjoyed working on this in general.
It can be hung on a wall or just put somewhere for decoration.

I'm not dead, I just have most of my time and energy eaten up by studies.
This is from few weeks ago, it's not finished but I got bored with working on it, so I'm just going to upload it as it is.

It's been almost a month since the anxiety I get from interacting with people got so unbearable that I started to avoid contact as much as possible. Interestingly, at the same time, I finally started to feel motivated to draw. Not only that, but the process of drawing is pleasant for me in and of itself, something I very rarely felt for the past two years. I'm not getting my hopes up yet. There already were days, even weeks, when I felt there was a purpose in drawing anything, but then I succumbed back into my usual apathetic state. This time it's lasting much longer though. We'll see where this goes.
Anyway, this is Eskaite's character Marout standing in deep dark water for no reason other than I felt like drawing water. This scene makes no sense, but that's not what's important right now. I'm just glad I drew something.

I painted this when I exceptionally felt alright for once. Now my good mood is gone, but at least I've got some fat cats left.
